Choosing a Spiritual Path Wisely
There are many spiritual paths available to us that can help us to grow and evolve as eternal spiritual beings living a momentary physical life. And there are also many spiritual paths available to us that will not.
So when choosing a spiritual path, it's important to hold that path to higher standards and to be liberal with your skepticism.
To be clear, a skeptic is someone who does not automatically believe but is still open to considering and participating in order to have their own experience. While a cynic is one who does not automatically believe and is NOT open to considering nor participating in order to have their own experience.
I didn't believe at first when I came across the Modern Mystery School in 2015. In fact, I wanted to find reasons to not believe. I had been searching for so long that part of me was attached to never finding a path or learning that it doesn't exist. But skepticism and all, I opened myself to having an experience, to participating and then judging for myself. And the results, or fruits, of my experience spoke for themselves and were undeniable. That the path in the Modern Mystery School was real and exists. And it aligned with the depth of guidance, wisdom and magick that had been calling to me all my life.
Which doesn't mean that I'm still not skeptical.
I am. But it now flows through the lens of discernment and empowerment, rather than suspicion or fear, and the desire to know for myself what will serve my growth and progression in the Light and what will not. Which is a significant shift. And the tools on the path and the guidance of all my mentors has supported me to arrive at this place of greater clarity and self-responsibility. To not have to rely on others to make my choices. But to have the strength to rely upon, and trust, myself.
So if you’re considering a spiritual path, here are suggestions that may help:
Take into account what others say about the path - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Do your research and do your best to remain objective and not seek confirmation of anything. If a path is making an impact, there will likely be a mix of all three. And if one is missing, particularly the ugly, be aware.
Consider the quality of people who are on that path and what they're doing with their lives. Are they endeavoring to talk the talk AND walk the walk? Are they honest in heart and in integrity? Are they growing and progressing in the Light and supporting others to do the same? Do they inspire you? Now don’t expect them to be perfect - that isn’t real, and if they appear that way or purport to be perfected or “perfect just as they are,” be aware. Instead, look for them - both teachers and students - to be in an active process of perfecting and purifying.
Consider what your intuition, your higher guidance and your ego are telling you about the path. If a spiritual path is presenting you with a real opportunity to actually grow and ascend your human consciousness, there will likely be conflict within you. Because not all parts of you will want to grow and heal. And not all parts of you will want to remain the same and in the comfort zone. So consider ALL the feedback you’re receiving from within yourself. The mental, the emotional, the physical and especially the energetic. Sometimes the greatest resistance is the greatest indicator that a path is correct.
And most importantly - have your OWN experience. Above all else, allow the fruits of your own personal, firsthand experience guide you in your free will. And don’t just dip your toe in - allow yourself to immerse and get past the cover of the book. Sometimes the fruits will appear right away. Sometimes they will take more time. Sometimes it’s a mix of both. Whatever the case may be, judge your own fruits and what you experienced and invested in order to receive those fruits, accordingly. Are the fruits delicious and good? Or are they sour and bitter? And let the fruits illuminate the path so you can see it more clearly..
The spiritual path of progression found in the Modern Mystery School is the path that has worked for me for the past 8 years and is currently still working for me. It is a powerful and challenging path that leads to powerful, unprecedented transformation and growth. But it is not the only path. And it is not for everyone.
Could it possibly be the right spiritual path for you and where you are in your life? It is possible.
And the only way to know for sure is to have your own experience. To receive healings, to attend classes, and to participate. And then from there, to judge by your own fruits.
