Meditation is a Gift you Give Yourself

Woman in Meditation Connecting to Nature with Gratitude

"You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes everyday - unless you're too busy; then you should sit for an hour." - Dr. Sukhraj Dhillon

We can all be busy, right? The pace of our modern society can be deafening at times and it can seem like our to-do lists are never-ending. But are you busy with things that really matter to you? That serve both yourself and others to have more joy in the world? That move your life firmly and resolutely in the direction of your North Star and your life’s purpose?

Or are you just busy?

Taking time to meditate every day is a gift you give yourself. And the more "inconvenient" it is and the more reasons you can come up with to justify why you don’t have time or don’t have the bandwidth, the more that gift is needed! For meditating and offering your body and mind the opportunity to relax helps you to make the most of your time and your experience of life. To be more productive, more efficient and focused with your energy, to accomplish more with less effort, and to feel more aligned with your purpose and passion in all that you do. To feel uplifted and fulfilled by your life, not just during the highs but even during the lows. Meditating helps to give your life direction and assists you in zooming out to see the bigger picture so you can know what’s possible moving forward and what your next right steps can be.

Which is vastly different from running in the hamster wheel and doing a whole lot to get nowhere fast, isn't it?

So give your mind and body the opportunity to relax and recharge. Give yourself the opportunity to be less of the world while you’re in it. And give yourself the gift of accessing the stillness within to calibrate your inner compass to your Highest Good.
