The Path to Knowing Thyself

The journey to knowing ourselves is like the game of hide & go seek.

While it may seem that we know ourselves based on our personality, what we’ve achieved, what we own, and what's on the surface, the truth of who we really are, why we are, and our Mission on Earth is always hidden below the surface. Thus why the maxim, "Temet Nosce," or Know Thyself, has been inscribed above Temple doors throughout history (including the Temple of Delphi and oracle's kitchen door in the Matrix) to all those courageous enough to enter. Because your true measure is never what it appears, and who you think you are is not who you really are. You are More than you can comprehend.

So how do you get there? To living the More that your life was specifically designed for?

You must seek.

Seek to open your eyes to what has been unseen within your subconscious.

Seek to open your heart to all aspects of yourself that you've condemned and rejected with love & mercy.

Seek to listen more earnestly to God's guidance and choose it over your Ego's diversions.

And seek to tear down the walls, let go of the masks, and uncover all parts that need healing in order that you may enlighten your being and bring the Truth of who you are out of hiding.

And it must be more than simply gathering knowledge and feeding the mind. This is where many get tricked and lost on the path to knowing thyself - don’t take the bait!

The knowledge must be applied and lived. True mystery teachings are hidden in plain sight and require keys to reveal them correctly. Thus knowledge in and of itself, no matter how easily it flows off your tongue, will not shift your consciousness and increase your authority to create change unless you have the keys to transmute the knowledge to understanding & wisdom. And thus, radical transformation (such as occurs through physical Initiation within a lineage) is required to shift your state of consciousness from one that values knowing it all to one that values knowing nothing. Which is a good thing. For it is from that place of nothingness that all mysteries abound and all keys may be found.

And so knowing ourselves is not a walk in our favorite park - Sorry, not sorry!

Knowing yourself is a daily commitment to explore uncharted territory and discovering what's beyond the map so you may fill it in for yourself. Deviating from living life on auto-pilot and actively avoiding the seductive comfort of Neverland. Making choices that challenge fear, shame, and chaos to bring you closer to God. And constantly striving to unbecome and unlearn the programming that makes illusion more desirable than Reality so you can spiritually mature and transcend.

And as we commit to taking these actions and accept full responsibility for facing ourselves, our triggers, and our shadows with honesty, reverence, and grace, we may pave the way to embodying the golden Spark of God within (especially in times where the Light feels most elusive).

To not only know, but become, what was once hidden and unthinkable and to manifest it brightly in the World!
