April 2024 Full Moon in Scorpio
The Lunar Eclipse at the end of March and the Solar Eclipse at this beginning of this month have set in motion a 6 month journey. A journey towards understanding the true value of being honest, authentic and in integrity with yourself.
In the last few weeks, the focus of the journey has been on getting clear on what no longer serves us or is holding us back and clearing that from our lives. Pruning and weeding. But with all that's falling away and being subtracted, there now has to be a concurrent building up and adding to in order for us to not simply fall back into the comfort of old patterns, beliefs and relationship dynamics. Planting new seeds to affirm life’s new direction and purpose.
And this Full Moon in Scorpio - peaking next Tuesday on April 24th - will help to ignite this process.
Some themes you may notice coming up in the days prior, during and after the Full Moon include:
Freedom from pent up emotions. Emotions of all shapes and sizes will be coming up. The more you resist/defy these emotions rising to the surface, especially the bigger, more charged emotions, the more likely for this process to be messy, volatile and potentially damaging to those around you. So the key is to accept your emotions and to perceive their need to be expressed as valid and beneficial to you instead of threatening. And to see yourself through the initial discomfort so you can break through to freeing up the significant mental, emotional, and physical energy that you've invested in keeping these emotions locked away. Energy that can then be directed towards expansion, growth and living more authentically, gratefully and joyfully in the moment.
Clarity on new directions and possibilities. Scorpio energy is transformative, often in a radical way. So don't be surprised if the ideas and inspirations coming to you right now seem to be coming out of left field or from way back in your younger years. These are reminders that anything is possible, which may create friction with your self-limiting beliefs and areas of your life where you routinely give up your power, sovereignty and authority. But let the friction and discomfort happen. For it will lead towards greater clarity and discernment on what nurtures your heart's desires, feeds your soul, ignites your passions and what does not.
Standing on your own two feet. Standing on our own can be scary, for sure, and it can lead to us feeling alone, abandoned or vulnerable. But from another perspective, it's also the only way for us to know that we do have all the strength, wisdom and power that we need to take care of ourselves and to live life with purpose. To be free. So if you're finding yourself in a situation where you're standing alone, consider the opportunity of learning just how capable you actually are. To realize how much you’ve learned, how much you’ve grown and how much you’ve evolved with gratitude and honor. And in understanding that for yourself, adding not only to your own self-worth, but the value of what you can now contribute to serving and helping others to grow, evolve and become free in their own right. Being free together.

While these archetypes may be clearest during the Full Moon week - 3 days before the Full Moon, the day of the Full Moon itself and then 3 days afterwards - it’s common to get a “preview” of them the week before. Which can help you prepare even further to do the work it calls upon you to do without feeling blindsided or disregulated.
