Choosing Change in the New Year
2020 is nearly done.
In these months (that have sometimes felt like years) of isolation, physical distancing, slowing down and redirecting, I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know yourself more. Granted, it isn't always fun, pleasant, or "tidy," but that's the alchemy of growing, isn’t it? Facing the inevitable uncertainty of transformation. Learning to willingly leave your comfort zone as a necessary phase of your healing and strengthening. Having to let go of what was and what is in order to become who and what you were born to be.
At one point, we must choose to get beyond the box so we can choose the change we desire. Which begs all sorts of questions to lead us down the rabbit hole:
“What boxes have I created in my life? What beliefs, habits, and thought patterns are creating limits?”
“Do I choose the direction of my life? or do I allow others to choose it for me?”
“What do I desire? If I don’t take into account anyone else or expectations from others, what do I really want and need in my life?”
“Who am I and Why am I here now?”
And the rabbit hole is the destination, folks. To go deeper and further than we’ve ever gone before - well beyond what your brain can comprehend. To challenge what we believe and what we’ve learned in order to shed the skins that can no longer contain us. To bridge our physicality with our spirituality; the finite and the limited reuniting with the infinite and unlimited. And to leap willingly into the unknown so we can become/discover/remember who we were born to be.
2021 is already shaping up to be a year of spectacular change and long awaited breakthroughs. So how can you help that along and reach brand new levels of personal fulfillment, joy, and enlightenment?
Getting outside your boxes and mixing up routines.
Defying expectations and limiting beliefs, whether they be others' or your own.
And opening yourself to experiences you wouldn't normally choose for whatever reason.
Simple things from one perspective. Powerful, radical things from another. Choosing change and strengthening your free will. And using it, not as a means of second guessing and undermining your intuition, but as a means to accelerating forward, expanding, and transforming both within and without. Cherishing and honoring your ability to choose and using it wisely and with discernment. Life life more fully with the explorer’s heart.
You're always one decision away from a totally different life.
