Summer Solstice 2022: Accessing Enlightenment

This coming Tuesday, June 21st, marks the Summer Solstice, aka Litha.  It's the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of the Summer season.  So what's significant about the Summer Solstice and what might be important for you to know so you can make the most of it?

The Summer Solstice is the height of the Sun's power and brings with it the momentum of expansion and the masculine energy of outward growth.  So it is an exciting time for learning, exploring new ideas, new possibilities, new directions, and taking unprecedented action towards making them so! 

Please note that when I use the word masculine, I'm not referring to men, but rather to the fundamental distinction of external penetrating force (masculine) and internal creation of form (feminine).  Like yin and yang, both are present in all of us and are necessary for manifesting and creating.  And with the Summer Solstice, we have the opportunity to ride the wave of force to setting your Will in motion in a new way that can lead to growing leaps and bounds on all dimensions of your life!

All this being said, with the Summer Solstice being the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, this also means that on June 22nd, days will begin shortening as we begin moving towards the Winter Solstice: The start of Winter and the longest night of the year.

So as the pendulum begins moving in the other direction, this is also a time of shedding attachments, judgment, personal dogma, and "lightening" and purifying so we can be fully present to receive with gratitude in the moment. To surrender to the flow of Nature, which will quicken and grow in intensity. And letting go of the dead weight of regrets, anxiety, negativity, and fear so you can be free to adapt to this new balance and ascend to much greater heights and progress onwards with purpose.

Which for me, is enlightenment in a nutshell.

So as we not only arrive at the Summer Solstice this Tuesday morning but move beyond it, allow yourself to take flight. Take flight many times!
